
Updated calls to current Smarty API (register_function()/register_modifier()/register_block() -> registerPlugin(); assign_by_ref() -> assignByRef()). Fixed file includes in templates with quotes. Removed SmartyValidate.class.php includes. Still work in progress as some errors still appear!

`{append}` is used for creating or appending template variable arrays
|
|
**during the execution of a template**.
|
|
|
|

> Assignment of variables in-template is essentially placing application
|
|
> logic into the presentation that may be better handled in PHP. Use at
|
|
> your own discretion.
|
|
|

**Attributes:**
